Lucy’s 51 has become the hotspot for hard rock artists with the James LoMenzo
Jam that has taken place for the past four months worth of Monday Nights. On
stage performances have included members of Guns n’ Roses, Kiss, Ozzy Osbourne’s
band, Quiet Riot, Boston, Whitesnake, Anthrax, Dokken, the Dennis DeYoung Band,
Megadeth, Bulletboys, Vince Neil, White Lion, Richie Kotzen and even Billy Ray
Cyrus has got on stage a couple times. That just starts to scratch the surface
of regular attendees and gives a good impression of why you want to be
there.
On Saturday, October 19th, Phil Soussan is bringing a blend of his original music as featured on his two CDs (No Protection and Vibrate) along with songs made famous from the list of rock bands he has written and performed with. This scheduled show may be the first of many that will highlight a rotation of friends that bring their unique talents to the stage. Soussan has mentioned, “There will be friends joining us on stage throughout the night, you don’t know who will show up; but that’s the surprise of it.”
On stage performing with Soussan will be Howie Simon on guitar (Alcatrazz), Dave Filice on bass (Bono & The Edge) and virtuoso drummer Andy Sanesi (Zappa) with Soussan playing guitar and singing. Special guests have not been publically announced (I’m sworn to secrecy, but I can assure you it’s going to be great!)
Showtime starts around 9:00 PM. The doors for Lucy’s 51 are open all day, but for those who want to enjoy dinner during the show, call and reserve a table. Lucy’s 51 can be reached at 818-763-5200, or find details online at www.lucys51.com. The venue features a full dinner menu and bar.
Hear songs from Soussan’s solo CDs and find other information regarding his work online at www.philsoussan.com. Phil will be signing copies of his CDs at the show; both will be available for fans to purchase. Bring a camera and get ready for the kind of performance that makes Los Angeles the place to be for hard rock! I’ll see you there.
