Ozzy Osbourne / Down to Earth (2001)

'Down To Earth' was Ozzy's first album for the 00's. This album continues where 'Ozzmosis' stopped. Very good modern hard rock with some really excellent guitar work from Zakk Wylde, a touch of earlier Ozzy stuffs and a tight musicianship. Ok, this album cannot be compared with Ozzy's earlier releases, that was then-this is now, but for sure is an album that shows a more mature side of Ozzy's band, a step forward. I think that albums like 'Ozzmosis' and 'Down To Earth' were albums that confused the die hards. Highlights here are the heavy with the modern sound of ' No Easy Way Out' which rocks hard, ' That I never Had ' for the simply amazing guitar work, 'Junkie' and the killer 'Facing Hell', again with a huge guitar riff and solo.
Overall this is a very good album from Ozzy and Zakk Wylde and even, if this is not their best to date or Ozzy's triumphant return, still it's a very enjoyable album with some very good moments.
