Good news for the fans of the Chrisitian hard rock band Stryper. This was taken from Stryper's official site:
"Hey Everyone, Just as promised, I wanted to outline some more details regarding the new Stryper record. We grew up listening to many different styles of music and there is a list of bands that influenced us throughout our musical education. Bands like Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Van Halen, UFO, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Kansas and many others, helped to shape our sound and make us who we are today, musically speaking. As you may know, Stryper’s about to start recording a new album of cover songs from bands that influenced us musically growing up. I’ve decided to periodically release the specific songs we will be recording via my twitter account. Please take a moment to join me on twitter and be the first to know the songs we will be covering for this upcoming album. This will be the only place we’ll be releasing this information. Thanks again for all your prayers and support and I look forward to catching up with everyone on Twitter. Here’s my twitter address below. And yes, this is me personally tweeting. Not management. Not the label. It’s me – probably in the studio, or at a Starbucks somewhere. "For more infos visit: http://twitter.com/michaelhsweet and http://www.stryper.com/News/news.htm

Very cool. Years ago (mid-80's) I helped put together a Stryper show in Lancaster PA at McCaskey High School. Amazing show.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm working for a company called RightsFlow that provides mechanical licensing and royalty services. We just launched Limelight (http://limelight.rightsflow.com) a simple solution for artists and bands to clear cover songs.
Appropriate in lieu of the post content.
Thanks for posting. Looking forward to hearing the tracks.
Keep rockin'.
Best,
