First off all I have to say that I have enjoyed the two new tracks of this compilation. "Magic Man" is a very good song in the vain of old good Dokken (Lynch era), the "Almost Over" is another good one tune, a bit more modern sounding, but overall a good one. Second, this re-recorded / remastered versions reminds me of something. Can you guess what? Lynch Mob's "reVolution" album is the right answer! Yes, like Lynch Mob re-recorded some of old classic Dokken's and Mob's tunes, same way Dokken are doing the same thing! Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Dokken fan but I find this release a bit pointless. I really can't find a reason way a band like Dokken have to release albums like that? To offer the two new songs? I really can't find the right answer. About the re-recorded songs here, they are all well played and the production of the album is very good. Also the sound is up-dated with a heavier sound in some songs or even a more off-tempos here and there. All in all a good compilation with a great track listening...but I would prefer a new album instead. But that's only my opinion.
HeavyParadise's Rating: 8/10 for the two new songs!!
