Unruly Child / Unruly Child (1992)

Another one classic/must have album! For me this one is probably Mark Free's best album to date (this and of course, the huge Signal's album). With a lineup of Jay Schellen on drums, Bruce Gowdy on guitar, Guy Allison on keys and  Larry Antonio on bass this disc is an excellent example of the golden melodic hard rock era.

This album has it all!! A huge and 'fat' production by the 'specialist' Beau Hill, a tight songwriting, memorable and catchy choruses, a 'golden' voice from Mark Free and a really incredible guitar work. It's very difficult to pick up a song as a highlight here because every single tune here is almost perfect!! But if I had to pick some of them as my personal favourites these would have been the kickstart opener of "On the Rise", a hard hittin' tune, the super commercial  "Take Me Down Nasty ", the catchy tune of "Who Cries Now" with the superb chorus line, the emotional ballad  "When Love is Gone " and "Criminal ".

This album was a kinda of 'hard to find' cd for years. So if you find it get it!!! For the rest of us who already have this gem....enjoy it again and again!!!
