REVIEW : Colour Of Noise / Colour Of Noise (2015)

Colour Of Noise is a new sensational classic rock band that consists of guitarist Bruce John Dickinson (Little Angels, b.l.o.w) , singer Matt Mitchell (Furyon and Pride), Randy Nixon on drums (Magic Bullet Band), Dan Lundholm (rhythm guitars) and ‘Silent’ Ben Daniels on bass.

The band stays true to its roots of classic rock sound and 'monster' bands such as Free, Bad Company and Led Zeppelin and its goal it's to offer a classic rock record. For that reason, they use carefully chosen vintage and custom guitars, back-line and record onto two inch tape. The album is mixed by legendary Mike Fraser (Aerosmith, AC/DC, Bad Company, Blue Murder, The Cult, etc.).

The album kicks-off with the groovy rocker tune of "Can You Hear Me". This is a great groovy song with a cool riff, solid arrangements and a catchy chorus line. Nice stuff! The first highlight comes with the 'punchier' "Medicine Man". This is probably one of the album's top tracks; it features some smooth vocals by Mitchell, gang-bang vocals by the whole band and an impressive guitar work!!! "Drive It Like You Stole It" reminded me of SKIN's (the Brit hard rock band) earlier works while  in "Heavy" we are dealing with yet another killer classic rock gem with attitude! I really love this one 'cause it includes a strong bluesy vibe in it!!! Check out, also, the up-tempo "Rock Bottom" that has a 'smell' of Little Angels of the past!!!

Overall, this is a great and old-fashioned rock record that will make proud each and every rock fan out there!
